Question... I am planning on getting married in March. We are going to have a small wedding with only our closes family and friends (Under 20 people total). March can sometimes be cooler so an outside wedding may not be doable. Is there a place we can get married in doors at a very low price? Any suggestions help! Jessica T Memphis
Hi Jessica,
March is a great month for weddings, but you are right it is too unpredictable for an outdoor event.
However, any wedding any time of year needs a “plan B” from rain or any unpleasant weather.
In answer to your question we offer a few great options depending upon your needs.
We have a Monday through Thursday special booked in conjunction with Ministers in a Minute for groups your size.

Can I give the DJ a song list, and should we section the music out for different times of the evening? Also can we get together before the wedding to consult, or is that typically done the day of the wedding? Thanks Nate B Memphis
Nate
You most certainly can provide songs that you want played. As a matter of fact, you may also want to work up a list of songs that you DO NOT want played as well.
We always meet with our couples 2 to 4 weeks prior to the Big Day and plan everything out at that time. When we walk in Barnes & Noble Bookstore/Wolfchase to meet, we will also have a laptop “filled” with Great music ideas that we will be more than happy to share. These meeting usually last 2-3 hours if needed. We are very detailed when it comes to Weddings! Please let us know if you have any further questions.
My mother is Deaf and I'd like to find an officiant that can sign the ceremony as well as speak it. Is there a paticular organization that has members that can do that, or does Ministers in a Minute have an officiant that can? Amber H Bartlett
Hi Amber. While Ministers in a Minute does not currently have an officiant that can sign, we have been a part of a great many weddings that have been translated into other languages. We would be happy to work with an interpreter to insure your Mother is included in your very special day. While researching your question, I came accross a very helpful website that may be perfect! http://www.memphisdeafcommunity.org/ Please keep us posted as to what you find, and let us know if Memphis Wedding Experts or Ministers in a Minute can help in any way.
My wedding is outdoors, and casual. Do I need a wedding rehearsal? Missy B Collierville
Missy
Great Question... If, like you say, the wedding is casual, and its just you and your groom in the wedding party, you can skip the rehearsal, and follow the ministers instructions at the time of the ceremony. If you have a bigger wedding party, and have formal seating (and unseating) of parents and grandparents, then you may wish to consider having a wedding rehearsal. A general rule of thumb is...If you are wearing a formal wedding dress, and he's in a tux...you need a rehearsal.
How long does a wedding and reception last? Katelyn C Cordova
Katelyn
On average...Usually 3 to 4 hours from the start of the ceremony.Receptions where alcohol is being served usually last longer. You usually know your group and can plan accordingly. Have fun and enjoy every moment!
